Long Branch Cleaners is absolutely the best! Their prices are unbeatable, and the quality of service is amazing. The lady who does the alterations is truly talented—her work is always perfect, with attention to every detail. I’ve never been disappointed, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my clothes. Highly recommend!
I took my coat there for dry cleaning in late June , I was away for a few weeks so my nephew collect it for me. They did a very good job. It was about $35 worth it for a once or twice a year clean for my coat.
I want to start off by saying I chose to trust the good reviews and that was my mistake. I believe every word of the one star reviews, because I unfortunately experienced the same thing myself… So if you want your garments ruined, this is the place to go! Appalling service, lack of professionalism and the staff have awful attitudes. I brought a pricey dress that requires dry cleaning and pointed out a few stains, to which they responded, “We can’t guarantee we can get 100% of the stains out.” Fine, that’s fair; I understand if they are tough stains, however, these weren’t grease stains—they were water stains on a silk dress. You can get those out. Also, don’t offer a service you know you’re incapable of providing? Anways a week later, I pick up my dress and it’s dirtier than when I dropped it off. Black and orange stains all over. It looked like it was dragged on the floor. To make matters worse, they safety-pinned a floor-length silk dress by the neckline to a hanger. The result? Stretched holes in the material, right at the front of the dress (you’d think that a dry cleaner would know how to handle delicate garments). I brought it to their attention that, 1. Not only are no stains removed, it’s also DIRTIER than when I brought it, and 2. You just put holes in a $500 dress. The lady said, “No problem, we will send it back for re-cleaning and iron out the holes”. I requested that she put a note for NO safety pins in the dress. I gave permission for them to fold it, tie it by the halter neck to the hanger, or just use the inner hanging straps that are meant for hanging the dress, but please DO NOT put more holes into it. She said she noted it all, and ensured me they would not put more holes in the dress. Fast forward to the next pick-up. What do I receive? A dress that again had no stains removed, has EVEN more black and orange marks all over, the holes are not ironed out and lo and behold, another set of safety pins straight through the front of the dress, again creating massive holes. At this point, I asked for a refund. The older lady in the hijab said no and actually started yelling at me. Claimed she made it clear she couldn’t guarantee the stains coming out. I asked her, “If this were your $500 silk dress that came back ruined, would you be happy with this service?” She refused to answer me, told me she can’t answer my question. I asked again and she shook her head, couldn’t answer the question because she knew she was in the wrong but continued to claim it was not their fault, that they said they can’t guarantee taking the stains out. I said forget the stains I brought the dress in with; let’s talk about the black stains YOU left all over and the set of four holes (one which was supposed to be ironed out and was not) and the new set. She told me, “I’ll send it back in for you but I can’t guarantee it won’t come back dirty or with new holes.” LADY, WHAT?! THIS IS DRY CLEANING. May I add, the entire time she was yelling and had such a poor attitude. When asked if she’d be happy with this service, she clearly looked dissatisfied. I ended up taking my dirty and hole-filled dress back home. Not worth letting them ruin it further a third time. Do NOT recommend this place at all. Service is shoddy and the staff are not only unprofessional but also exhibit an outright nasty attitude. They think it's acceptable to treat customers poorly and refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes.
I recently brought my Canada goose parka here to get dry clean for the first time. Like the silly person that I am I had accidentally gotten gasoline all over it! I thought I would for sure end up having to spend another $1500 on a new jacket but feeling totally defeated I decided to bring it in to this place anyway. When I went in there, they didn't guarantee me that they could get rid of the smell out and really managed my expectations. I understood that it was a big job and considering how bad my jacket smelt I felt really bad. I picked it up a week later and to my surprise they were able to not only get out the stain but also the smell from the jacket! I'm absolutely thrilled to have found this this small place here in Long branch. I was so happy with the service. I even came back with my downfield duvet! So happy to be a returning client for life.
Not the service I expected when I called in to inquire about the cost of a service. Was informed they do not provide estimates over the phone and hung up the phone.
They are the best cleaners on lakeshore. Owners are very down to earth people. They try to give good service to each and everyone. But when I saw some other reviews and I can tell you can’t make everybody happy. But they are the best . I always get good service on this place . I strongly recommend them if you need good service and good cleaning.
Worst experience in my life. How they run their business in Canada is disrespectful and fraudulent. I was shocked at how I was treated, but after reading other comments, I found that I am not the only person with such a horrible experience, but probably not the last one. They will be nice to you until you pay the whole amount of money in advance, after that they don't care what happens to your cloth and would not take responsibility for a bad result. They ruined my husband's new warm jacket. I brought it for the first dry cleaning to them as a jacket had a few fresh stains, and the lady, who is probably the owner of this place, checked the jacket and said that they would clean it nicely. As per her request, I paid the whole amount for their service in advance and took a receipt. When I came to pick up my husband's jacket, an older lady, probably the owner's mother, returned me a jacket. When I checked the jacket in front of her, I found that not only were those stains not cleaned, but also that the inner lining of the jacket was damaged into separate parts and ceased to be fluffy. When I started to express my dissatisfaction, she began to laugh at me, saying that I could not prove anything; even more, she somehow tried to accuse me of damaging the jacket. I was shocked by such a rude and offensive attitude. I refused to take this jacket home, took my receipt back and said that I wanted to talk to the owner, the lady who was there on the first day and who took the order, about this situation and such shameful customer service. When I came to this horrible place the next day, both of them were there, and this hell for me started all over again. I told her that the jacket was not cheap, and after their improper cleaning, I would need to throw it in the trash. But the owner said that she does not care about it too, that she does not know what happened to the jacket, that she will not take any responsibility for it, and if I want I can call the jacket manufacturer and complain to them!!! Can you imagine it?! Even when I asked them to return the money I paid them for that horrible service, they refused to do it. They laughed at me, threw the jacket in my face and said that I simply could stop using their services. I hope that there are services that check the work of such places and should teach them responsibility for their humiliating words and actions. So, please save your money, nerves and clothes and avoid this irresponsible and horrible place called The Long Branch Cleaners.
