Brought in a down jacket for cleaning and was told it would take 7-10 days. I called after 12 days and they said they didnt receive it yet (it appears they outsource some of their dry cleaning). Called again a few days later and they still said they didn't have it but would look into it and call me back. Didn't get a call back so I went into the shop the next day. They said the identifying tag fell off somehow at the place they sent it to and said it would be ready that day or the next day. Still didnt get a call later that day or the next day. On the 19th day since dropping it off, I finally got a call saying it was ready. I went to pick it up and nobody ever apologized or took accountability for the long wait and inconvenience. I was not offered a discount or anything either. They seem like nice people but this experience felt unprofessional and I don't know if I would trust them to clean something else for me. The coat was nicely cleaned though once I finally got it back.
I took a Toronto Maple Leaf swatch for them to patch a hole in my jeans but showing the pattern. They screwed up royally. I unfortunately went back the second and time thinking at least now they know what I want but they screwed up again!! Didn’t come close to doing what i asked. The problem is the husband translates to his wife but he doesn't write anything down so by then time he tells her he forgot what's to be done so she hasn't a clue and just takes a guess. So annoyed at the money I wasted ($40) going there.only to have my jeans ruined Never ever will I go there for anything ever again.
This is my go-to spot for alterations in Toronto. Friendly service and excellent communication about what you want. i needed to share the results of my latest experience here. I thrifted a vintage tweed dress for $10, which was oversized and ill-fitting. I happily paid $50 for complex alterations - the dress now fits me perfectly. At my event I was repeatedly asked if I was wearing Chanel. MC has the finest seamstress in downtown Toronto and I will be returning shortly.
I had an unfortunate experience with Market Cleaners. I left my Canada Goose jacket for dry cleaning in March 2023, and they lost it. After 3 months of waiting and back & forth conversations, they offered me $700 (which I accepted) + unclaimed items and future discount (which I refused). Overall, it was a very upsetting experience.
I have given my clothes for sleeves shortening to times and each time there were some issues with it ? One time sleeves became different length and the second time they became much shorter then I asked ? And I never was called back once the work have been finished.
Had a business account for 15 + years and now when the management is late on payment he wont give me my clothing...wow...sorry cant use this business....maybe it will work out for you!!
