We do all our dry cleaning services with this company for almost 5 years, don’t have a single complain. Excellent customer service, great cleaning result.
Rick and his team did a fantastic job with my suit and two shirts—everything came back looking crisp and clean. The service was friendly and efficient from start to finish. Great experience all around—highly recommend!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I came for 24h pressing service. I received a 24h pressing service. No complaints here. However, the gentleman behind the counter is simply not suited for a role in customer service. His style of interaction is unnecessarily rude, passive aggressive, and confrontational. Perhaps he should have chosen a career where he didn’t have to interact with the public. Unfortunately, he’s in the retail dry cleaning business, so I would encourage him to learn how to engage positively and appropriately with customers. The source of his rudeness? He took umbrage to the fact that I handed over a folded receipt. Nothing more, nothing less. Might I remind the gentleman that - if he had any empathy for his customers/people in general - he would understand that in an effort not to lose these receipts, many people fold them such that they fit in a wallet. Perhaps next time I will have the good sense to frame the receipt and hand it over to him, such that it remains crease free. It’s a totally absurd thing to be rude about. There are so many other great dry cleaners downtown who understand the basics of customer service. Don’t go here. Avoid it like the plague. EDIT: Before the gentleman responds to me like he has with others by saying “we have no record of you being a customer,” he spelled my last name with a V instead of a B despite me enunciating it clearly. The poor attention to detail should have been my first red flag. EDIT 2: The owner’s response further proves my point. This is a business - and an owner - lacking in the fundamentals of customer service. The numerous rude responses back to customers on this platform are proof enough.
This is the most disgusting customer service anyone could ever experience. I took in a $138 US pair of beautiful creamy white dress pants to the woman who owns Platis and asked that the legs be shortened. The pant legs had a slit in the front of the pants, but told her that when shortening the legs, if the slit was too difficult to duplicate, the seamstress could just close the slits and make them a solid bottom. When I returned a few days later to pick up the pants, the son of the woman I dealt with gave them to me - only for me to find they were stiched unevenly in the slits and also you could see the stitching show through, which was also uneven. When I told him I wasn't happy with the job, he proceeded to berate me, saying, "I think it's perfect." I showed him the parts of the pant legs that were cut off and compared the even stitching to the sloppy job that his seamstress did, and he continued to deny the pants weren't stitched properly. He told me to come back when the seamstress was in, but I told him he's responsible for his worker, so demanded that something be done right away because I didn't have time to keep returning to this place. Also, I was worried that if the seamstress tried to do anything more on the pants, she'd ruin them more. He then told me to take my pants and leave, at which point I told him that was no way to treat a customer who was unhappy about a job. I asked to try the pants on and he wouldn't allow me into the back to try them on, so I tried them on in the front of the store. He then proceeded to pick up my bag and throw it out the door and onto the street, and went on a tirade. As customers came in and out of the store, he continued to berate me. I had to call the police and waited outside for them, but it was taking so long for them to come that I finally just took my pants and left. As consumers, we face everyday challenges, and people like this man at Platis who was verbally abusive after one of his workers did a terrible job. Instead of offering a solution, he continued to say that the job was "perfect" work. He also accused me of arguing with him to get the pants done free. Really? A $12 pants-shortening job, I want free, when I paid $138 US for them? I urge everyone to stand up for their consumer rights, and complain and write reviews like these to alert consumers about horrible retailers. Unfortunately I have to choose the minimum of one star on this review, but I'd rather give it a 0. I may never get my pants fixed, but if I can save one consumer from this terrible establishment, I'd be happy.
