I had a great experience with DWR on King. I visited in mid-November looking for a Herman Miller chair. I was able to choose from several options and they had stock ready to ship. The store associate was very knowledgeable, and educated me on the product. Chair arrived a couple of weeks later and was professionally unpacked, and delivered into the house. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I made an appointment online with a DWR designer out of the Toronto store. The appointment was never confirmed so I was disappointed that it seemed to be another failed consumer experience. I thought I would give it one last try so I called the Toronto store. Luckily, Tarryn Thompson answered the phone. She apologized for the hiccups in their system and got right on it. We had a Zoom call so she could see my space and assist me with choosing counter stools for my kitchen island. Tarryn was so helpful, patient, thorough and knowledgeable. She immediately followed up by email to answer the questions we had and arranged for fabric swatches to be sent. She then followed up the next week to see if we got the samples and had made a decision. We had and Tarryn placed the order for us and everything was made so smooth by her care and attention. We havent received the stools yet but I am confident we made the right choice. Tarryn is a gem!
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with Design Within Reach warrants 5 stars. Tarryn and the entire staff at DWR truly went above and beyond to help me with my purchase of a beautiful dining table and made-to-order chairs. From the moment I walked in, the staff was knowledgeable, patient, and helpful without being pushy. The Knoll dining table and Cesca chairs I bought are solidly built, the materials are beautiful and it completely elevates my living space. The service and delivery from DWR was excellent. If you are looking for gorgeous, high-quality furniture combined with great customer service, I highly recommend Design Within Reach.
Great furniture but for some reason, they can't figure their delivery situation out. So far, they have lost a table I had ordered three months ago and the replacement one has been waiting fulfillment for about a month. There are Reddit threads devoted to how unorganized, unreliable and frustrating their delivery services are. With the price points, you would expect more professional and smoother customer service. DWR needs to get it together.
The quality of their products don’t worth their extravagant price tags. They offer compensation and refund; however, I haven’t received the fund for months, despite chasing them for many times.
