We made two recent purchases from Vintage Home Boutique. I really like their website because the descriptions of the items are very thorough and there are multiple photographs of each item. I was able to reach Keith by phone to ask questions and we enjoyed meeting him when we went to pick up one of our purchases. Our second purchase was delivered and the delivery company was excellent; good communication re scheduling and careful handling. We love our new lamp and cabinet.
Vintage Home Boutique was highly recommended as a place to sell my furniture to..... I waited until after the annual vacation to have my items picked up only to be ghosted.
I recently sold some furniture to Vintage Home Boutique. Had an excellent experience dealing with Keith. He was always professional and kept to all commitments agreed upon. Great company to deal with.
Keith and I agreed on a price for 2 genuine Herman Miller chairs and was happy to proceed, but then when it can to dropping the chairs off had to many excuses. Not impressed at all.
I've been wanting a small MCM secretary desk for a long time and when the right one came up locally at Vintage Home Boutique, I knew I needed to snag it up quickly! This is my first purchase with VHB, but I've known them to a reputable seller of fine MCM furniture in the city. I was confident with the authenticity and condition of their products, and communication with Keith (the owner) was fantastic via Instagram. Keith was great in answering my questions beforehand and later set me up with a FaceTime appointment with one of his sales associate so that I can 'see' the desk virtually before making the purchase. The desk was delivered within a few days, so overall, the entire experience was wonderful and smooth-sailing! Thank you!
Hi Keith: We received our dinette set in perfect condition. We are very pleased with the efficient service and your friendly professional manners. The packaging was superb guaranteeing the condition it was seen on face time. We love the dinette and it looks great in our Condo... much appreciated for your expertise. Thank you, Gary & Carol Myers
Tough to find honest people. And its especially disappointing when you try to help out local business. Unfortunately that's what happened to me. I bought a set of 8 chairs Dec 16 when Keith was promoting his no tax event for dining room furniture. He agreed to cover the seats and asked me to come back after the holidays to pick the fabric. When I inquired about a downpayment, Keith said no need neighbour! What a great guy. In January I picked the fabric out with his assistant and we discussed a pick up date for end of month. After hearing no news for sometime I emailed the store to arrange the pick up. Seems there was a delay and I agreed to extend the time. By February, still no news, and I emailed for an update. Seems there was another delay but I'd have my chairs by March. Mid March I called for an update. More problems. Now the fabric I had selected in Jan was no longer available. I demanded to see the chairs. I almost burst a vein when the owner had the audacity to haul up two mismatched chairs suggesting that these were the chairs he agreed to sell me. Now we were apparently even going to stain them to match each other. I knew the jig was up. He had sold my 8 chairs long ago. My advice: When Keith suggests no need for a down payment, insist on one. Otherwise, he'll look at you months later, long after he's resold your stuff, scratch his head in wonder, and make you feel like your the confused one. By the way, the three month run around didn't even result in an apology. As I walked out for the last time, I could hear Keith's final words "you didn't pay a downpayment you know." Here's some extracts from the email chain for the fun of it: Dec 16: Yes we will purchase the 8 soon to be renovated chairs...with extra foam for middle age bones and the navy ultra suede. We assume a deposit is required. Please advise and we will drop off this week Vintage Boutique: Let me confirm with Maureen on her ability to have them ready and I will advise you on the timeline. I know she has several items which people have brought in for refinishing which will take her into mid Jan. If this meets your needs then it could work well. Vintage Boutique: She would be looking at the last week of Jan. We are sourcing the velvet and will advise when we have a sample for you to look at. Feb Update after my emails wondering wazzup: Keith had to go back to his old job for 6 weeks, so unfortunately, that has meant I haven't been able to work on the chairs for you as I've been working the retail floor a lot more rather than working in the basement. Our sincere apologies for the delay. These chairs are the next on my list, and hoping to have these by March break for you. FINALE: The big fat zippo. Thanks guys!
