I’ve been a patient since 2018 or 2019 but only needed extra care in the last 2.5+ years. My life turned upside down and I’ve needed a lot of medical intervention as a result. I also needed a lot of help navigating our medical system and which medical specialists I needed to see for which associated symptoms/issues. Dr. Adelstein has been foundational in helping me through all of this and I believe she genuinely cares and has compassion for her patients. In this time I’ve noticed that the phones at the clinic are continuously ringing for same day appointments and that the clinic tries to accommodate as many patients as possible each day. Before I had these significant health challenges, if I would book a same day appointment I would normally be waiting to get in to see Dr. Adelstein but now I see that all patients of the clinic are seen based on priority (same as a hospital or likely any other clinic). I feel that the negative reviews are unfair as the undersupply of doctors is a Canada-wide problem and I can see how the clinic tries to accommodate as many people as they possibly can with multiple receptionists, multiple physician assistants and technology to help take notes. Sure, it’s not fun to wait if you have a prolonged cold and feel lousy but to have a doctor show up for you and advocate for you when your health is at it’s worst to help you get healthy again is when it really counts.
I tried calling 9 times this morning (they open at 9 and I’ve started calling promptly from 9am non stop) and no answer and I can’t even leave a voicemail due to a full mailbox. I needed an urgent appointment but I guess my health is going to have to wait today.
As a client there I am losing my patience at the reception of constantly being told: call next working day. Mind you I think I try and see my doc less than once a year because I just know I’ll be turned around
Dr. Alison Hall and her team where kind and respectful. Dr. Hall is incredibly thorough, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She takes the time to explain what she is doing and why, and answers all your questions. I'm so greatful. Thank you!
Dr Allison Hall is my family doctor, she is my only family doctor. My experience at this clinic, please don't be late for your appointment. Make your appointment and arrive on time.
Don't bother making an appointment. Arrived on time and currently still waiting to be seen (40min) Edit: it's now been 60min and counting Edit: 80min and counting
Worst clinic to possibly exist. They don’t care about patients details and medical history. And they are impossible to get a hold of. I have unfortunately been a patient of Dr. Adelstein for more than 4 years and I have seen her maybe twice!!! There is always a different practitioner visiting me and clearly they don’t even take a look at my history because they keep wanting to cancel my prescription or scheduled appointment that I have and every single time I have to explain my whole history to every single of these practitioners. It’s just so frustrating and so concerning to know that you’re not being taken care of, and your health can be at risk because they are not paying attention.
