Quite nice building, has gym and laundry room. My studio apartment has a walk in closet and a balcony which is hard to get nowadays, I like my unit. Highly recommend Amanda! She helped me out and very lovely lady!
Hazelview properties are slumlords. 392 Sherbourne has nothing but constant problems with water being shut off regularly, usually the hot water. Elevators out of service or getting stuck, fire alarms going off at least twice a month, so many roaches you see them in the hallways, and even in the elevators at times, people using the lobby as a bathroom or sleeping space and nothing is done aside from letting the cleaner get it in the morning, and staff that are either never in the office, or take months to get anything done. Multiple staff have left because they realize how much of a joke hazelview is. If you can, avoid them entirely. 7/18/25 I would like to update this to add that the building now has bed bugs, and the staff have decided to not inform anyone of this issue on top of leaving the main office closed for multiple weeks now while they try and fail to get rid of said bed bugs infesting the main office.
My kid rented a place here, at first it was nice with balcony facing the street, but they really got to deal with the bed bugs , complained to management and nothing was done, thousands were spent on replacing furniture just because the bed bug issue got so bad, didn't even dare to visit my own kid as we were afraid to bring it back, it was in the carpet in the hallway, it was just everywhere.
Worst apt building ever, management is rude & unprofessional , filled with cockroaches, the lady at the reception is the rudest person i have ever encountered, any time u ask her a question she reply’s back in the most rudely manner possible. Heating system dosent work, elevators are always malfunctioning. Stay away from this place
Management won't actually fix broken plumbing despite constant assurances that they will. Lots of similar issues with broken things they refuse to repair. Lots of bed bugs. Freezing temperatures. Not a single non 1-star review in the last two years. Easily the worst landlord company I've had the displeasure of dealing with in Toronto. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The most inefficient service ever. Incredibly slow for service request. I had to ask them multiple times to simply fix the heater in the winter. Last year, the elevators were malfunctioning frequently, and it always took a long time for them take action. There are only two elevators in the building, making it soooooo inconvenient. Managers are not familiar with their duties and paper works. One of them is particularly rude, disrespectful, and unfamiliar with her job. The building is maintained fairly. But strong smell of weeds is present. Sound insulation is terrible. You can hear people talking next door. The buses on Sherbourne street are noisy, and their pollutants can spread to at least 3rd floor. Garbage trucks which make loud noise frequently operate at night or early morning. Stay away from this property or you will regret.
