Very unfortunate reception staff; to be the front of a clinic with not so bad doctors. A very specific receptionist carries the most attitude, and the most lack of care. For a system that’s setup to have you share the most private, fragile information over the phone openly, with complete strangers, before you’re allowed to book any appointment, she needs to listen with care, NOT interrupt, and to have a better attitude. The most basic 101 customer service they teach you. She in particular has time and time again made my experience so frustrating and so unnecessarily stressful. It’s no wonder this clinic has been stuck at a 3 rating of reviews.

Me and my husband are so grateful to have Dr. Sikander as our family doctor! She cares for our health and listens to our concerns through in-person or phone appointments. The care she and her Harbourfront medical team provide is top-notch, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!"

I was genuinely happy to finally have a family doctor at this clinic, but after my experience today, I will be looking for another clinic to be rostered with, as the care and communication here is incredibly disappointing. I have a serious underlying lung condition, and specialists have always advised me to seek medical attention immediately whenever I develop any lung-related symptom because it needs to be closely managed. I also know my body and my illness well, and I can clearly distinguish between symptoms of an ordinary cold and a serious chest infection. I called the day before to request an appointment because I was feeling very unwell. The receptionist told me nothing was available but instructed me to call back at 8am the next morning for a same-day appointment with my family doctor or through their after-hours clinic. I called right at 8am today. The receptionist told me that Dr. Sikander “tries to squeeze patients in” for same-day concerns and that they would call me at noon, rather than simply booking me into the after-hours clinic at that moment so I would have an appointment. They called at 11:45, but I missed the call and phoned back at 12:30. I spent almost 20 minutes on hold, and once I finally reached someone, the receptionist began looking for appointment times and either the phone disconnected, or they hung up on me. No one called me back, despite the fact that they clearly had all of my information, which is a basic and simple courtesy. I also emailed the clinic but received no response. I called again and was placed on hold for another 20 minutes. When I eventually spoke to someone, I was told that the doctor said there was no way I had bronchitis, that it was just a viral infection that I should monitor for up to 17 days and to take NeoCitran. I was completely stunned. A few notes relayed by a receptionist is not a medical assessment, especially for someone with my medical history. I also do not appreciate the condescending nature of being told to simply take an over-the-counter medication without the doctor even seeing me in person. I was then informed that the after-hours clinic was now fully booked and that no appointments were available at all when I insisted on seeing someone today, despite me calling at the exact time I was instructed to the day prior at 8am. My intake form as a new patient had my lung condition, yet at no point did I feel taken seriously. I’ve never had a clinic refuse to see me despite availability, and the lack of concern or care was dismissive and frankly, lazy. After going back and forth, the receptionist said she would speak to the doctor again and call me back, which didn’t happen until three hours later and said to call again tomorrow to schedule an appointment because they were fully booked and do this same circus again. By then, I had already gone to another walk-in clinic, where I was diagnosed with bronchitis. I’m grateful I trusted my instincts and went elsewhere, because it’s clear this clinic does not take their patients’ concerns seriously and their is a serious lack of patient empathy or care with their front desk team. What makes this even more frustrating is that their new-patient intake form emphasizes extensive after-hours availability, yet when you actually need an appointment, none is offered - neither same day, or next day. When I asked what to do in situations like this, the doctor told me, If you really need to see someone same day, go to a hospital. Telling a non-emergent patient to wait 6–8 hours in an already overburdened ER instead of providing basic primary care is incredibly dismissive. Being sick and needing a same-day appointment does not automatically make it an emergency, but this clinic clearly cannot accommodate fundamental patient needs.

If the webite says you’re taking new patients but it takes six months to respond to a new patient request then you aren’t really taking new patients, are you.

After being on the waitlist for Dr. Andrew Kriger's family medicine practice, I was enrolled a month ago and had my first visit to the clinic today. I arrived 10 minutes early. I was promptly brought into the room _exactly_ on time. Dr. Andrew then patiently explained his process and his approach to preventive medicine to me, and then took the time to listen to some of my health concerns. I'm excited to be part of this clinic.

Dr. Rehal has been our family doctor since almost 5 years and we have been taken care very well. She is quick, knowledgeable, listens to all the concerns and questions and has always given great suggestions and recommendations. Would recommend her 100 percent. The clinic overall is fine with staff and nurses being helpful.

I booked an annual physical and took the morning off work for the appointment. Once I got there, I went through the regular steps (checked in and shared my health card with reception, waited in the lobby, then waited in the room for the doctor). When the doctor came to see me, she said they don't offer annual physicals and wouldn't be giving me that service. She said they called me the day before but I didn't answer (when I checked later it was just a missed call and no voicemail was left). I apologized for missing the call but also pointed out when I also joined I filled out paperwork where they indicated they preferred email communication vs phone so asked why 1. I was even booked the appointment if they don't offer it 2. why they didn't send an email when I missed the call and 3. why they didn't inform me when I checked in vs having me wait. I wasn't even upset at this point, just confused by the misunderstandings. The doctor didn't have anything to say and just stared at me blankly and seemed like she was getting tense/defensive. I dropped it and didn't push anything further. A few months later I needed to book another appointed and called the clinic. When I wasn't able to get through the line, I emailed. I followed up after a week via email when I didn't hear back. Its been over a month and I emailed following up again as they're not open Sundays. Reading these reviews and I don't get it. Why take patients if you don't care?
