After one month of no response to my Dr.'s referral I called into the office. They had lost the referral so asked me to have the referral re-faxed so that they could schedule an appointment. A week later when I called back someone picked up the phone, rushed me off and said "I'll call you back." When they hadn't call me back a week later I started calling only to learn that the office was closed for 2 weeks. When I got through 2 weeks later they could not find the referral that had been faxed twice and asked me to have my Dr.'s office re-send it to them. When I eventually went for my appointment and waited for over an hour after my scheduled appointment, Dr. Hubbard did a quick inspection and handed me some illegible photocopies of septal surgery information sheets. He told me I had to try a nasal spray first and prescribed me allergy medication and said to come back in 6 weeks. Total incompetence every step of the way. I am advising my Dr. to remove East York ENT from their referral program.

I came on here to send my compliments to the team and was shocked by the other reviews. I've been in contact with them several times and they're kind, empathetic and quick to respond. I truly appreciate them for all their help! And thanks to Dr. Oldfield as well! I feel incredibly fortunate to be a patient of his especially these days where it's difficult (almost impossible) finding doctors.

Amazing doctor terrible admin/ receptionist Dr. Oldfield is amazing, kind and patient. He does not rush you and really educates you on any treatments/ process etc. Best family doctor no doubt. Unfortunately the admin/ receptionist team knock out all the 5 star reviews- even when speaking to them in the kindest tone you are left wondering why they come off as so inconvenienced by legitimate patients that follow all the clinics protocols. Calls backs are terrible they will ‘call back’ with the phone only ringing 1x. I heard my phone ring- happened to be in another room got there in less than 30sec only for a missed call notification? Immediately I tried calling back- guess what no one picks up and I had to leave another voice message (mind you this was well after lunch and before their closing). I get that everyone has off days at work- but this has happened time and time again - (in the last 2 years nothing has improved).

Dr. Lorena Barrientos (Medicine Professional Corporation) is extremely unprofessional, rude, unethical, impolite, disrespectful and prejudice. I witnessed this doctor refuse service to a woman who was simply requesting a requisition for blood work. It is unsafe to allow this woman to practice medicine on you or your family. Very sad and very scary how this woman has dealt with an innocent patient, especially considering the shortage of family doctors in Ontario.

If your family doctor is Lorrina Barrientos, then good luck. As a doctor, she's not professional and dismiss patients pain, if you have a couple more questions about the condition. She would smash the door over you and say "if you don't trust me, go find another doctor" As a doctor, she's not caring and competent. If you happened to have a few concerns, she would just Address your first concern then ask you to leave.

A general word to the wise: Front End reception can really ruin a business. In this case, it absolutely destroyed my experience of this practice and set back my access to care in several instances. I’ll spare every single abomination in professionalism, behaviour, and competency, in favour of one big unacceptable blunder: I had a requisition for a CT scan. Part-One: Receptionist forgot to send my requisition to Women’s College Hospital. I waited weeks to find this out. I had to do the work myself to find out. Part-Two: When I notified the passive aggressive receptionist that she forgot, she begrudgingly sent it out without an apology. Weeks later, when I called Women’s College Hospital, they found my requisition had been submitted WITHOUT MY NAME ON IT. I was so lucky that the lovely admin staff at Women’s College Hospital had gone through all of the rejected submissions; she called me back to notify me that she had received my requisition (according to the details provided) without my name. Part-Three, when I called the office to have this receptionist reprimanded, for the double mistake, the other receptionist refused to acknowledge the series of mistakes and would not share the name of the receptionist so I could file a complaint (to ensure this would not happen to anyone else). In a nutshell, it took months to get this CT scan (for a concussion), when if the receptionist was caring and competent, it would have been much sooner, as promised and as needed. Do not trust this place to hire a competent and caring receptionist. All BUT ONE of the receptionists who worked here during my time of care were passive aggressive, incompetent, unprofessional, and had minimal social skills. Think of the type of person who is already resentful and full of attitude upon picking up the phone. These types should not be hired to have your health needs in their hands. I have followed my wonderful GP elsewhere and what a difference it has made. Beware who you hire as a receptionist. Attitude and professionalism is everything.

Very professional staff, easy to book an appointment, no waiting during the appointment, my doctor very knowledgeable and professional as well and very attentive to my concerns.
